Gil Brandes

Founder & Managing Director, Investment Committee member

Gil Brandes primarily practices hi-technology law as a partner with Naschitz Brandes & Co., a Tel-Aviv based law firm ranked among the top ten firms in the country. Over more than 20 years as a lawyer, Gil has acted for both private and public companies in a variety of complex transactions, mergers and acquisitions.
Gil is a member of the Acquisition Committee of the Israel Museum and previously served on the executive board of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
Gil’s family collection, the Brandes Collection, for which Gil is one of the principal buyers, has been assembled over the past two decades, and includes works by prominent international artists such as Ghada Amer, Stephan Balkenhol, Hernan Bas, Mona Hatoum, Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Barbara Kruger, Juan Munoz, Richard Philips, Larry Rivers, Ugo Rondinone, Thomas Ruff, Kiki Smith, Thomas Struth, Wolfgang Tillmans, Fred Tomaselli, Bill Viola and many others. Many of the works were acquired early on in these artists' careers. Whilst Gil’s family collection was not
acquired with a view to investment, many of the works acquired have appreciated in value over the years.

Amalia Dayan

Founder, Investment Committee Member

Amalia Dayan has been working in the art industry in New York for over ten years. During this period, Amalia has been exclusively engaged in the art business.
Amalia is a private dealer and art consultant. Previously she was a founder and co-owner of Bortolami Dayan Gallery in New York. Prior to that, she was a Director with Gagosian Gallery in New York, which is regarded as one of the world's most influential contemporary galleries.
Before joining Gagosian, Amalia was a contemporary art specialist with Phillips, de Pury & Luxembourg, a highly regarded auction house where she maintained relationships with buyers and sellers of contemporary works of art, organized auctions of contemporary art and other disciplines such as photography.
Prior to the Phillips, Amalia was a Director with Deitch Projects, a leading New York gallery known for identifying promising artists early in their careers. At both Deitch and Gagosian, Amalia built contact with many influential artists and developed excellent access to high quality works of art which became available in the secondary market. In 2009 Amalia co-founded Luxembourg & Dayan gallery specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art based in New York and in London. Over time the gallery turned to be one of the art world’s leading tastemakers.
Amalia holds Masters Degree in arts management from New York University and a Bachelor Degree in arts history from Tel Aviv University.

Mark Fletcher

Founder, Investment Committee Member

Mark Fletcher established his New York-based contemporary art advisory services in 1998. Before establishing his own company, Artha Advisory, Mark served as director of Anthony d'Offay Gallery in London and as director of Barbara Gladstone Gallery in New York. He had worked closely with notable artists such as Matthew Barney, Richard Prince, Rachel Whiteread and others.
His professional experience in the art world is coupled with a Masters degree in International Management from the Ecole des Cadres, Paris. Mark has international presence in Europe and Asia as well as in America and is experienced in all aspects of contemporary art collection and management.

Nechemia (Chemi) J. Peres

Investment Committee Member

Chemi Peres is a Managing General Partner and Co-Founder of the Pitango Group. He serves on the boards of numerous Pitango portfolio companies. Chemi also serves on the boards of various publicly traded companies as well as the Board of Trustees of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
Chemi is one of the founders of the IVA (Israel Venture Association). He was Chairman of IVA for two years in 2003-2004 and continues to serve on its Executive Board. He recently served on the Board of Koor Industries, one of Israel's leading conglomerates (NYSE: KOR).
Chemi holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tel Aviv University.

Isaac Hillel

Investment Committee Member

Isaac Hillel is a Managing General Partner of the Pitango Group, which he joined in 2000, where he manages investments in the information technology industry. Isaac currently serves on the Board of Directors of various Pitango portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Pitango, Isaac served as an Executive Vice President at NEC Computers International (previously Packard Bell NEC) (“NEC”) in charge of the Computer Divisions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. During his tenure at NEC, he led the company to become the leading brand in the computer market with over $1.5 billion in sales.
Isaac also served as a Board member of nine subsidiaries of NEC. Prior to his employment with NEC, Isaac held several marketing positions with consumer electronics maker Casio PhoneMate.
Isaac holds an MBA from Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Vered Gadish

Senior Advisor

Vered Gadish is an art consultant assisting Israeli collectors to develop and enhance their private art collections. Previously she had been working with Christie's Tel Aviv, the world's leading auction house, where she assisted the head-office in organizing auctions of modern and contemporary art and sustained relationships with local and international buyers and sellers.
Prior to that Vered was the curator of Doron Sebbag Art Collection, ORS Ltd., one of Israel's prominent contemporary art collections where she experienced first hand the handling of an extensive contemporary art collection with over 1,000 objects and the contemporary art market's extreme growing and robust strength.
Prior to Doron Sebbag Art Collection Vered lived in New York where she worked at MoMA and Guggenheim Museum Development and Public Affairs Departments.
In 2008 Vered co-founded Outset Contemporary Art Fund in Israel, a philanthropic organization supporting new Israeli art, that is associated with Outset Contemporary Art Fund chapters around the world, (UK, Germany, the Netherlands, India, Greece and more).
Vered holds Masters Degree in arts management from New York University and a Bachelor Degree in arts history from Tel Aviv University.
